About me
I have over 20 years of classroom experience split evenly between general education and special education. I do not like being known as a special education teacher nor having students work with me known as special education students. In previous years students on my caseload have made far more progress on reading levels and standardized tests, so there is nothing they cannot do. That is why my class has been known as Team Awesome, my classroom was Team Awesome Headquarters, and I was Mr. Awesome. The group transformed from a bunch of low performing students into a team of confident students getting the extra help from me, their peer buddies (honorary Team Awesome member) and each other all impress themselves with how much they can achieve.
